______________________________ #florence #florencia #florenz #floransa #douma #santamaria #delfiore #italya #italy #ig_italy #instaitaly #seyahat #katedral #catedral #travel #tatil #rota #gezgin #travelling #tourism #tourist #instapassport #instatraveling #mytravelgram #travelgram #travelingram #igtravel

Please read my previous before reading this, as it's related to this one! (2/2) – Day 5: Ho Lak to Da Lat: After having the accident, the other guy on the scooter who was hit, he rode back. He had a cut on his face & was bleeding, but otherwise he was fine. He apologised & then we both parted ways. The accident happened early in the morning, so we only covered about 30km, we still had about 100-120km more to cover till we got to Da Lat. Two of my fingers on my right hand were swollen from the accident & the accelerator on the bike is on the right handle bar, so I wasn't able to get a firm grip & bend my fingers much to accelerate, due to this I wasn't able to go fast on my bike as Bhavik and Matt. This had me falling behind, at one point when I was riding up the mountain…Leo suddenly just stopped & wouldn't move! Once again, I had to hail down some locals to see what the problem was. 2 scooters stopped to help me, there was a couple on one bike & an old man and a young guy on the other! The young guy was around my age & knew some english. They checked out the bike & found out that my chain was broken from the accident. Then, one of the guys pulled out a rope from his scooter and tied one end to the front of my bike and the other to the back of the young guy's scooter. They were going to pull me up the mountain and I had to use my brakes to make sure I didn't swerve across the road. This was fucking scary, the rope worked as a pendulum so it will swing to the left pulling me along, as oncoming trucks & cars were coming that way, so I had to make sure I stayed on the righthand side. I badly wanted to film this whilst it was happening, but thought it was better not to lol. After we got to the top of the mountain, they untied the rope & I went down the mountain, using gravity's pull power & my brakes to control the bike! This was such a crazy experience! Eventually we got down the mountain and they took me to a nearby mechanic. I thanked these locals for helping me when I needed it the most and for using their ingenuity to get me off that mountain! Once again, I can't express how kind & friendly Vietnamese people are. I wish I had taken a photo of them..
