“0-calorie pork”: meat so lean you could see through it that it forced a multinational to apologize

The Syabuyo restaurant chain is trending after photos of its pork loin went viral: slices so thin they were practically transparent.

On the X platform, users joked by calling it “zero-calorie meat,” since the black design of the plate could clearly be seen through the pieces served.

In response to the wave of criticism, parent company Skylark Holdings issued an urgent apology, admitting that the manual slicing in certain branches did not meet quality standards. The company has already begun audits throughout Japan to correct this extreme “cost-cutting.”
