72 year old Jerry Wayne was arrested after deliberately running over a group of cyclists in Cherokee County, Georgia. The driver tried to aggressively overcome the athletes, causing a collision that left two injured.
Thanks to a witness’ recording, authorities were able to locate the vehicle and arrested the culprit in a home near where the incident took place. Ross now faces six severe criminal charges, including aggravated assault, reckless driving and fleeing after the crash.
Richard Collins, one of the victims, suffered from severe abrasions and soft tissue damage after being violently thrown off his bike during the incident. The culprit is currently detained without bond while evidence is being processed with a video that contradicts his statement.
