We all grow up with the idea that the princesses are practically from another world. They’re fragile, sweet, “ladylike” and, all in all, just a little bit too “perfect”. They definitely don’t have much in common with real women.

For this reason, the illustrator Paul Westover decided to depict them in a way that surprised and even scared many people: sitting on the toilet.

Is there anything more human than that?
