We were all touched by the story of the little dog who approached a delivery man at a red light to ask for some affection. After his work shift was over, the man kept thinking about the puppy so much that days later he went looking for him, hoping to adopt him, which makes a beautiful story even better.
When we hear of a nice story of someone showing compassion for animals, we usually imagine what will happen next. We almost always hear that the person took a moment of kindness to help a pet in need, or perhaps even that a person went out of their way to rescue a puppy that was in trouble, but what we usually fail to find out whether the puppy received any further help in the long run.

This apparently is what happened to us with the story of the puppy who asked for affection at a stoplight…or so we thought.

Just a couple of days after we shared that tender and somewhat sad story of companionship that was born from loneliness, we learned that the story had a second part. It turns out that, on the Facebook page “Lomunidad”, someone shared not only the photos of the original story, but of its beautiful continuation.

After that encounter, which was recorded by an anonymous person from his car and shared to the world, the delivery man couldn’t stop thinking about that cute puppy. However, at that moment, he had to continue with his work.

Once back at home, the delivery man began to wonder if the encounter with the puppy was just a coincidence. He questioned his family, who told him that what he had in mind was the right thing to do. They also said they supported him in his decision to help the puppy.

Determined to help the puppy, the delivery man went back out a couple of days later. He returned to the place where he thought he had found the puppy and searched around. Finally, he found the puppy, who was once again affectionate and trusting of him. It was the sign he needed. He invited the dog to join him on his motorcycle and took it home.
In a photo of the two of them when the delivery man isn’t working, we can see that they live a happy and beautiful life together.

This is exactly the kind of story we want to hear on the internet. Not only did someone show pity to a puppy and give it a second of their time, after that, their fates were crossed forever. Everything is even better if that encounter results in a long-lasting, loving friendship and companionship.
