Sara Blakely, a 50-year-old entrepreneur who started out selling fax machines, sold her Spanx underwear brand for $1.2 billion. According to the woman, the gift was «to celebrate the moment.»
Anyone would like to be in a job where they can get along with their bosses and enjoy a pleasant work environment without any problems when it comes to interpersonal relationships.
There are times when the bosses themselves are the ones trying to strengthen these relationships with their employees. This can be done in various ways, but Sara Blakely, owner of the company Spanx, came up with an idea: to pay her employees for a vacation wherever they wanted.

However, before she even had employees, Sara had to work hard to see her life dream come true, which was to own her own company. After years of frustrated attempts, both academically and career-wise, and working selling fax machines, the 50-year-old managed to start her business.
According to information from twitterer Chris Munn, the company started with a capital of only $5,000 and ended up being worth $1.2 billion, the price for which it was bought by the investment firm Blackstone.

Since it was so complicated to start a company, Sara spent many years working two parallel jobs. On the one hand she owned Spanx, a start-up underwear brand, and on the other hand she worked as a fax machine saleswoman, going door-to-door to offer her products.

Sara never had the support of any investors when her company started, so she decided to give back to her employees for all those years in the underwear market.

In the middle of the brand valuation update party, Sara informed all her workers that another company had bought Spanx, so as a way of thanking them for those years of work, she would give them each two first class tickets to the destination of their choice, plus the sum of $10,000.
