If she’s Daenerys, they’re her dragons, if she’s a Hogwarts sorceress, they’re her protectors. Even if she dresses up as Leia, they look for Star Wars costumes to accompany her. They never leave her out of anything.
Families have traditions that are always respected because they represent something very important, plus they’re entertaining and are opportunities to spend time together. On these occasions, age is never an impediment. These can take place at gatherings, parties, or even watching a movie together.
Just as Christmas is the most common celebration to get together with loved ones, so is Halloween, and the fun can be just as great. A group of four American siblings are making the most of this time of year. Larry, Patrick, Gavin and little Avery have an amazing habit of dressing up for this date with creative costumes. They have a large age gap, but they don’t mind this.

The mother of these boys, Patti Schmidt, is a photographer, and although her sons were already between the ages of 22 and 28 years old, Larry being the oldest, she got pregnant at the age of 44. This news came as a beautiful surprise to all of them because it was so unlikely to happen. “Initially, they were as surprised as we first were, and that quickly turned to excitement. By the time I turned 40, I had given up hope for another baby, but there were other plans in store for us,» the woman told Today.
Avery is the only girl among her siblings, currently five years old. She’s grown up a lot and has received an immense amount of love, so much so that her adult siblings dress up with her for every Halloween party since she wasn’t going to share the same memories they did. That’s why they came up with this cute initiative, which has become a tradition.
The first time they celebrated was in 2017 with «Wizard of Oz» costumes, where Avery dressed up as Dorothy.

The themes for subsequent events were «Star Wars,» where she dressed up as Princess Leia and they dressed up as Chewbacca, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, characters from the hit sci-fi saga.
The following year, they recreated «Game of Thrones», where Avery was Daenerys Targaryen and the brothers were dragons. «My husband and I were binge-watching Game of Thrones, and I thought the boys as dragons would be so funny,» Schmidt told Today.
This year, the motif was «Harry Potter,» where they took on J.K. Rowling’s iconic characters, thus respecting their beloved tradition.

Hopefully, this will last for years to come.
