A company hired them at a salary of $134 each. Their mother abandoned them, so they grew up in an orphanage where they discovered that their vocation was electricity.
Over the years, society has made progress with regard to inclusion policies, especially for those born with disabilities. However, there are still cases where children are neglected when health problems arise.
For Sohna and Mohna Singh, life has been complicated. The Siamese twins were born in 2003 in New Delhi, India, but doctors refused to separate them because they said the procedure could be dangerous.

According to information from the Daily Mail, the specialists realized that if they separated them, one of them could die, and the other would have neurological and vascular problems.
Despite having complications as newborns, and their mother subsequently abandoning them, the two siblings were able to survive and were raised in an orphanage, where they grew up normally.

There, they also developed similar interests, such as their passion for electricity. According to the Telegraph, the caretakers of the children’s home realized that they were capable of fixing electrical appliances and repairing different types of circuits.
«They would always try to fix all minor problems related to electricity and electronic appliances in the institution,» said a caretaker at the facility.

That vocation led to the possibility of being hired for a job with PSPCL, where they will be employed as electrical technicians. Both will receive a salary of $134 each.
«We found them technically sound and knowing the job well. So, we decided to recruit them under the disabled person quota on compassionate grounds,» detailed the company’s managing director Venu Parsad.

Thanks to this job together, they will be able to have a better future outside the orphanage and also become independent, a dream they had since they started practicing with circuit boards and repairing electronic devices.
