Don Félix Cárdenas always waits for Belén to get off the bus at the meeting point to give her security on the street as she walks home from work.
Parents always try to give their children the best. From the moment they know about their arrival, they have that unconditional love for them and strive to ensure that they never lack anything in life.
Affection, education, fun and protection are just a part of everything they want to give them. Since they raise them as babies, it is understandable that it is hard for them to assume that they grow over time because they would never want anything bad to happen to them. They even take care of them as adults out of love for them. Such is the case of Mr. Félix Cárdenas, a 72-year-old father from Ñemby (Paraguay), who goes to a bus stop every day to wait for his young daughter Belén, who leaves work late.
Not a night goes by that she doesn’t see him standing in the street in order to take her safely home.

The woman shared a photo on Twitter where her father is seen standing in the dark street, his arms behind his back as he patiently waits for her. «I don’t get home until around 8:30 or 9:00 and he is always waiting for me at the bus stop,» she said on the social network.
Don Felix has been doing this since 2019 to make sure that nothing happens to Belén on the way to work, such as an assault or aggression, among other things, but over time he has understood that he can’t be with her all day. He has to let her grow up and learn how to take care of herself, without falling into overprotection. That is why he decided to wait for her at the bus stop until she got off the bus and then accompany her home.

«The first few times, he used to go get me at work, but then he got used to the idea that he was no longer my school, that he had to learn to let go more and let me walk on my own, but he always shows up at the stops,» Belén told Extra.
This is a gesture that she appreciates very much and that has a beautiful meaning. «´Viejito´, I never want you to miss me. I love you so much,» the girl commented on Twitter.

The image she posted on the social network has been shared more than a thousand times by users, who also told their experiences. Belén replied to a criticism that someone made about her father about him exposing himself by being out on the streets so late, assuring that it is something he wants to do on his own since, if he doesn’t go, he feels more stressed and uneasy about his daughter’s safety. Belén said that she has warned her father about the dangers, but he insists on going.
Even so, the woman is very appreciative of what Don Felix does for her, and she always lets him know. «I already thank my dad for everything he has done for me, for my siblings, and even more for my son. He has always been and continues to be an excellent father and grandfather,» Belén told Extra.
