For only $5, she bought the product at a pet store and now they all sleep peacefully at night. The little one has water when he wants it and the mother can take a nap without being interrupted.

It’s clear that there is no ideal way to take care of children. Parents put in their maximum effort to do their best and not get tired in the attempt. Nights when having small children can be tough because they occasionally wake up because they are cold, afraid, thirsty or want to go to the bathroom.

This happened frequently in the home of an Australian woman, who shared her solution on Facebook, applauded by some moms and criticized by others.

It turns out that her son used to be very thirsty at night and would wake her up to ask her for water. Of course, this affected her sleep and made it difficult for her to fall back asleep. Tired of this situation, she understood that he was too small to help himself and that he might be afraid to walk at night in the kitchen.

That’s how she thought of a «trick»: buying a rabbit water bottle, which she shared on the Mum Central Facebook group. It was big enough to quench his thirst and he could refill it during the day if he ran out.

For just $5, she was able to guarantee her sleep, since he was able to drink whenever he wanted to without having to get out of bed. Of course, this might seem like she’s treating him like an animal, something many might disagree with. He wouldn’t use a glass like he normally does but would have to suck from the drinking fountain.

However, he doesn’t mind. She commented, «I got tired of my son screaming all night long for drinks. Boom. Best $5 I ever spent.»

The best thing about the bottle is that you have to drink slowly, and this helps keep drops of water from spilling all over the mattress. You can drink as often as you want and there’s nothing to clean up afterwards. Of course, many parents were encouraged by the idea since apparently there are many who can’t sleep through the night.

It would be something interesting, but the ideal is to ask the doctors if it’s correct or will generate some problem in their psychomotor development, because clearly children are not rabbits and it’s understandable that some parents are upset with the method.
