Tired of people not buying his mother’s designs, Thiago Pantaleão decided to wear one of her hand-knit bikinis and show it off on his social media
We know that parents are there to support their children’s dreams, guide them and advise them to achieve what they set out to do. However, children are also there to support their parents when they need motivation to pursue their own dreams.
This is what Thiago Pantaleão, a Brazilian singer, did with his mother, a woman who loved sewing and designs but who dedicated herself to working in something else after her work wasn’t valued. The young man decided to show off his mom’s designs and make them known to the world.

Bianca Caitano, Thiago’s mother, worked all her life cleaning. Her creations weren’t profitable enough to support her family, so she had to put her dreams aside. However, we know it’s never too late to pursue what we want so badly, especially when your child supports you.
Thiago, who has 380,000 followers on Instagram, took one of the hand-knitted bikinis that his mother makes and posed on his social networks with the design, regardless of the criticism or what people will say about a completely “feminine” design.

“I was watching her kill herself with cleaning and it was giving me angst. Then I saw her knitting a Felino model and I thought it was amazing. A bikini from the brand costs R$ 400,00, but here nobody wanted to pay a mere R$ 40,00. So, I said, ‘you know what? I’ll promote your work, I’ll show it off, I’ll publish it,’ and it went viral “,says the son proudly.
After the post, which went viral on the page Razões para Acreditar, Thiago says that many people began to place orders with Bianca, including artists and people from outside the country. So much so that her work caught Vogue’s attention, who offered Bianca the job she’d been waiting for so long.

The invitation to the Vogue ball was the icing on the cake of this story. Bianca spent several nights producing a true work of art that her son wore: “She gave everything to be able to deliver. I already wanted to go to this event. People would stop to ask and praise my outfit, and I would say, I liked it and that it was my mother’s work,” said Thiago.
For her part, Bianca is proud to have her son wearing her designs while enjoying his professional success: “It is an honor because my son wore and represented this piece, so I am very satisfied. I am very happy “, said Bianca.
