Unsurprisingly, the man didn’t even pick up a plate during those three weeks and didn’t even do the laundry. Instead of contributing to the housework, he packed his things and went to his mother’s house to force his wife to clean up before he returned.
Many people say that one of the most difficult parts of living together as a couple is keeping the house tidy, but, for one TikTok user, the situation became a real ordeal after her husband decided never to contribute to the cleaning of the house, giving her all the responsibility.

A young TikTok user, who goes by @mrsmessytiktok on the platform, stands out on the social network for always sharing household cleaning tips with her followers. Although cleaning the house isn’t something she finds difficult in itself, she decided to stop doing it in order to teach her husband a lesson.
It turns out that the woman’s partner called her “lazy” for, according to him, not cleaning the house properly. As if his insult wasn’t enough, the man also claimed he’d never help in tidying up the place, leaving all those tasks to his wife as if it were still the 1950s.

Although @mrsmessytiktok works outside the home, she’s always taken the cleaning job in stride and without complaint, but, after her husband’s insult, she decided to give up tidying, vacuuming, mopping and laundry for 21 days to see if her spouse was capable of doing these household chores on his own.
After the third week, the woman posted a video on TikTok to show netizens that her husband never cleaned the house in all those days, as expected. In fact, the man refused to do any housework and, to avoid doing it, he went to his mother’s house for a few days to be taken care of.

The clip shows huge piles of dirty clothes, the house in disarray, unwashed dishes, and everything in chaos. The cybernauts, in the spirit of helping the woman, advised her to divorce her husband for not contributing to the housework, as well as disrespecting her by calling her “lazy”.
