Rebecca Cubberly from Telford, England, realized she was wasting a lot of time washing up after eating with her family, so she put down the paper and placed the food on top. This way, she just removes it and uses the time to rest. “We’ll 100% be doing it again,” she said, according to the Daily Mail.

Mealtimes are the time we enjoy most in the house, except for the washing up part, especially at dinner time because it takes time away from going to bed and going to sleep.

However, some people have managed to save themselves this chore and one such person is Rebecca Cubberly, a 28-year-old mom from Telford, Shropshire, England, who discovered a simple trick.

Rebecca’s discovery is to cover the whole table with aluminum foil, without plates or cutlery, and that’s it. That way she can eat with her family of four without having to think about all the dishes that need washing up.

At the same time, everyone can help themselves.

The mom laid out five strips of aluminum foil in the dining room, then placed ground beef on top as well as vegetables, nachos, cheese, and burritos. When they were done, instead of washing five bowls and a pan, it was just a couple of things, since she also used a deep fryer.

We like picky meals, and this way is more fun and the clean up afterwards was great, I had a knife and a chopping board to clean,” Rebecca told the Daily Mail.

She also saved time with the deep fryer, as well as avoiding washing the pan and just removing the foil. She took the opportunity to rest while her husband Karl bathed the children.

I normally spend about half an hour cleaning up after a meal like that and it’s a long time to spend cooking and cleaning after a long day. (…) We’ll 100% be doing it again, we’ll be trying it with lots of different things like pizza and ploughman’s or when we have a picky tea or when I’m just not in the mood to wash up,” she said, according to the media outlet.

She showed off her new trick on social media but got divided reactions. No dishes but it’ll sit in landfill for up to 400 years,” someone said, to which Rebecca replied that she had recycled the paper, while others thought it was a brilliant and interesting idea to imitate.
