However, recently there was a case of a man in China who went to another extreme and decided to go to collect the money in a bird costume so as not to reveal his identity.
According to information from Daily Loud, when the man found out he had bought the winning ticket for the $30 million prize, he couldn’t believe it. Mind you, he decided to put his happiness aside and devised a strategy to hide.

He went to the nearest costume shop and rented a foam disguise of a little yellow bird. This way both his face and his entire body would remain hidden from the cameras.
The lottery officials were very surprised and shocked when they saw the man arrive dressed as a yellow bird but ultimately accepted it and took the photo.

The man explained that his reason for hiding was so that his family wouldn’t know that he had won such a large amount of money. When asked about it, he revealed that he didn’t want his wife and children to become «bums» because of his status as a multi-millionaire.
He didn’t elaborate on how he’ll hide the fortune from his family, but what is clear is that he won’t give up his job nor indulge in the luxuries that award winners around the world are used to.
