In the southern United Kingdom, an activist named Emma Smartch tried to save a lobster’s life last April 10. But what began as a gesture of help turned into the worst disappointment for her when she not only killed the one she tried to save, but also the companion lobster that was next to it in the tank, because apparently “it missed her.”

“I’m taking the lobster and you’ll have to let me,” the girl shouted as she tried to leave the restaurant The Catch at the Old Fish Market, while the workers held her back.

After leaving with a lobster in hand, she went to throw it into the sea, but because the temperature was much colder than in the tank, it died instantly. The second lobster was the first one’s companion in the tank and, without any explanation, stopped living out of “grief,” according to the restaurant.

According to court orders, the activist is not allowed to approach the restaurant, with a minimum distance of 10 meters.
