This grandfather and grandson enjoy dancing, as well as the time they spend together each day. Their bond is so strong that the teenager still asks to be held in his grandfather’s arms.

A grandparent’s love can sometimes be endless. They become like a second version of parents, often even more affectionate and indulgent, as they give their time and love to their grandchildren.

Even as the years go by and grandchildren grow up, grandparents will always see them as little ones. This is shown in the case of a grandfather from Brazil who, despite his age, still carries his 17-year-old autistic grandson in his arms.

As seen in a couple of photos shared on Facebook by user Lages Handiara, the grandfather still has plenty of energy, love, and enthusiasm to enjoy time with the youngest member of the family.

“Grandpa Fernando Murta can still hold our 17-year-old autistic boy Enzo, who asks to be carried in his arms—and his grandfather lifts him,” Lages wrote in the post.

“They dance to Andrea Bocelli, gospel, and sertanejo music,” she added, describing their relationship, which is full of shared activities and playtime that reflect their strong family bond.

These photos, shared on August 1, 2019, quickly went viral online, receiving more than 14,000 reactions, 90 comments, and over 22,000 shares.

Although this happened years ago, it remains a powerful example of the limitless love a grandfather can have for his grandchildren—loving them with the same strength regardless of time.

This story, especially involving a young person with autism, highlights how family love is essential in facing life’s challenges. Grandparents will always be there to support the younger ones.
