Teresa Cóccaro, a panelist on the TV show “Buenos Días América,” was talking about how to prevent excessive sugar consumption when she suddenly began to feel unwell.
Life is full of ironic moments, and this nutritionist, Teresa Cóccaro, experienced one firsthand. She was discussing the negative effects of sugar on the Argentine morning show “Buenos Días América” when she started feeling dizzy and ended up fainting.

Cóccaro was explaining how to prevent the overconsumption of sugar and sweeteners in children when the incident occurred. Due to the unexpected situation, the hosts cut to a commercial break so she could receive medical attention.
According to the show, the nutritionist regained consciousness during the break and was attended by an ambulance that quickly arrived at the studio. She was later taken to a hospital, where she was further examined and treated.

She appears on the program every morning, always bringing different topics related to nutrition. On this occasion, she was explaining that sugar can be replaced with healthier options such as coconut or cinnamon, when she began to feel unwell. Her colleague Malena de los Ríos noticed what was happening and stepped in to help her.
As the two women were speaking, it became noticeable that Teresa Cóccaro began talking in a low and somewhat unintelligible voice. Her disoriented behavior alarmed her colleagues, who asked if she was okay. Moments later, she collapsed onto the desk. You can watch the full video of the incident here:
The clip quickly went viral on social media, and, of course, users had plenty to say about it. One user commented, “I’m heading to the freezer for a dulce de leche overdose,” while another said, “A nutritionist was talking about the dangers of sugar and fainted on camera. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to eat a dulce de leche pancake.”
Later, the production team released a statement saying that the nutritionist was doing fine and that she had simply experienced low blood pressure. Sugar may have a bad reputation, but in moderate amounts it can be a good source of immediate energy. Perhaps Teresa just needs a little more of it.
