What began as a trip to visit his parents in Korea ended up changing Brian’s life. While he was walking down the street, he saw several people gathered around looking at a newborn kitten that had been abandoned.

Even though he was staying at a hotel that didn’t allow pets and he was also allergic to cats, he decided to put the kitten in his pocket and take him with him. He called him Sunshine. A veterinarian told him the kitten had only a 5% chance of surviving, but Brian bought formula and learned how to care for him by watching tutorials on YouTube.

His instinct led him back to the place where he had found him, and he discovered another little female kitten, whom he rescued and named Moonlight. As he recounted, the little one always stayed next to her brother to keep him warm.
Brian had plans to travel to Japan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, among other places, but he canceled all his reservations and stayed in Korea taking care of both of them. He eventually adopted them and took them to his home in Los Angeles, where they grew up healthy. Later he added Sunset, another rescued kitten. Today he’s sure that, more than him choosing them, it was they who chose him ❤️😻.
