Realmente las calaveras tienen una ardiente fanaticada. Hemos conocido quienes venden velas de calaveras que lloran o quienes convierten pequeñas perlas en mini esculturas de calaveras. Pero esto no es todo y lo que hoy quiero mostrarte es lo más fantástico que me ha tocado ver con forma de calavera: asombrosas y grandes piedras preciosas y cristales convertidos en espeluznantes cráneos humanos.

Los detalles son tan exactos que parece que efectivamente estas coloridas calaveras algún día hubiesen sido parte del cuerpo de algún mortal, pero créeme que mi calavera o la tuya es bastante más aburrida; ¡puro hueso en comparación a éstas con los más diversos colores!

Los cráneos están hechos a mano, tallados y pulidos de manera meticulosa por los más talentosos escultores del taller Skullis. Son 100% creados a partir de piedras naturales, con materia prima de alta calidad y, generalmente, muy escasa. Por lo tanto, no creas que comprarte una de éstas por Ebay sale barato, ¡algunas de ellas cuestan más de 8 mil dólares! Ya han tallado cráneos humanos con más de 400 materiales distintos.

Rainbow Aura Quartz Crystal Druse Crystal Skull Sculpture. Measuring 3.4 x 2.0 x 3.1 inches (87x52x78 mm) and weighing 13.7 ounces (387g). Carved from a solid specimen of quartz crystal druse on matrix from Brazil. A bone colored quartz based matrix displays a druse of rainbow aura quartz crystal terminations. The various aura quartzes are created by combining molecules of precious metals to the crystals. Prior to carving, these crystals were enhanced with a combination of titanium and niobium molecules which were bonded to the surfaces of the crystals by the natural electrostatic charge of the quartz by means of a magnetron ionization process. This results in a mirrored metallic surface on each crystal face, displaying a stunning array of rainbow colors created by the optical interference of the layers of titanium.
