John is 101 years old. Jerry, 100. And every Friday morning, without fail, they sit at the same tables in the back of a McDonald’s in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, alongside the same group of friends that has grown over the years.

They always order the same thing: a Sausage Egg McMuffin. Nothing changes—not the menu, not the table, and not the company. The restaurant manager, Christina Crisp, knows them by heart: “We simply love them, they have been coming here for a long time”.

But what is most surprising is not the breakfast. It is that John gets up every day at 4 in the morning to do 200 push-ups touching his toes, a routine he has maintained since before turning 100. When asked how he has sustained 80 years of marriage to Jerry, his answer is simple: work hard and treat her well. Sometimes longevity does not have complicated formulas.
