In 2018, in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States, 16-year-old Kevon Watkins changed the Wi-Fi password so no one else could connect while he played Xbox.

When his mother tried to take away his console, he refused and his 20-year-old sister Alexus Watkins stepped in. The argument escalated until Kevon grabbed her by the neck and did not let go despite his family’s attempts to stop him.

When police arrived and managed to make him release her, Alexus collapsed unconscious and died of asphyxiation. In 2019, Kevon was sentenced to life in prison and, as he left the courtroom, he broke down in tears and asked for forgiveness.
