An unprecedented milestone was recorded in motorsports with the participation of Lucas Tomasi, a 19-year-old racer born in Tandil, Argentina.

The young man has become the first driver with Down syndrome to officially compete in karting races in Argentina and internationally. His path on the track began with training on dirt and asphalt at circuits such as Balcarce, with the support of his father Mauricio Tomasi.

Currently, attention is focused on the procedures to obtain his professional license from the ACA’s Motor Sports Commission and the International Automobile Federation in order to consolidate his career.
