29 years of marriage, 500 million at stake, and Daddy Yankee lost the final battle

500 million dollars. That is the fortune Daddy Yankee built over nearly three decades and that he will now have to split in two by order of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rican singer Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez appealed as far as he could: first the Court of First Instance ruled against him, then the Court of Appeals confirmed that decision, and in June 2026 the Supreme Court rejected his final appeal. His lawyer Pablo Lugo said it bluntly on Telemundo’s Día a Día program: “the decision is final and binding”. There are no more doors left.

His ex-wife Mireddys González, whom he married under the community property regime and from whom he divorced in December 2024, now has a recognized right to half of that estate. Everything accumulated over 29 years of marriage is to be divided. 😮
