Justin Long was 30 years old when he jumped from a moving car in Michigan. In 2008, while filming, two men who recognized him at a bar invited him to a casino and took him to a condo.
They pressured him to smoke a substance he thought was marijuana; he said it tasted like chemicals, and he became disoriented almost immediately. He later suspected it might have been PCP, though that has not been confirmed.
Long asked to go back to the hotel, but they talked about filming him while intoxicated to sell the video to TMZ and asked how much money he had with him. Unable to use his phone, he noticed they were taking a different route. He jumped when they drove past the hotel and ran a red light. He fell beneath the car, which ran over one of his legs. The injury left him with permanent nerve damage; he never called the police.
