A 43-year-old woman was remanded in custody in Bogotá, Colombia, after being accused of sexually harassing a 20-year-old young man inside a sauna.
According to the complaint, it all happened when the woman began touching the young man’s genitals without his consent and persisted even though he tried to move away several times.
The case went viral because many users on social media debated how these kinds of situations are often taken less seriously when the victim is not a woman
Following the complaint, the Colombian authorities opened an investigation, and a judge decided to send her to jail while the judicial process moves forward.
