On August 19, 2026, 38 skydivers, all over 60, jumped from two planes and performed a formation in freefall. The distinctive feature of the challenge was that they had to form a shape, break apart completely, and form another one before opening their parachutes. With this, they set the record for the largest sequential formation with a complete break performed by skydivers over 60.

The attempt was organized by Rich Delgado, a skydiver from Houston with 31 years of experience, and brought together participants from different parts of the United States. The group had been preparing for months to achieve it.

The achievement shows that for these athletes, age does not mean giving up on seeking new experiences or challenges. In fact, one of the participants, Rennay Blizzard, described the feeling of jumping out of the plane as an experience of absolute happiness.
