Little Rowan Bosarge, just 4 years old, was happily playing around a playground when he found a striking wrapper lying on the ground. The package came from a nearby vending machine that sold “recreational” THC gummies, whose bright design was identical to that of a children’s candy. Thinking it was a normal sweet, the boy ate it.

After ingesting it, the horror began for his parents, Bryant and Kinsley Bosarge, when the little boy collapsed unconscious. Rowan had to be rushed to the hospital, where he remained unconscious for 26 hours.

Fortunately, after spending several days hospitalized, the boy is now safe and does not even remember the trauma. Now, his parents enforce stricter rules at home and are publicly demanding that these vending machines be relocated away from parks and schools to prevent another tragedy.
