It all happened amid a congratulatory call.
Lil Wayne was talking to B.G., his Hot Boys bandmate, over a video call to celebrate his engagement to Brooke Jones. At that moment, he turned the camera toward a young woman and said: “This is Madison”. Seconds later, he added: “This is my fiancée”.
He joked about being the wedding’s godfather and even about knowing what color they would wear. B.G. posted the clip on his Instagram with the caption “My lil Brodie gave me his blessings”.
The young woman is 23-year-old Madi Cannon, an influencer from Kokomo, Indiana. He had just turned 44. And there’s one detail that makes it even more curious: in July, during a livestream, Wayne himself had denied being engaged. He said he had been in a relationship with an incredible person, but they decided to separate so they wouldn’t be a burden to each other.
Before that, in May, rumors had already been circulating about an engagement to a woman around 20 from Indiana, and social media identified her as Cannon. No one confirmed it. Until she appeared, smiling, in a video call that wasn’t even hers.
