Kashe Quest is 6 years old and already knows things that take others a lifetime to understand.
At 17 months, she recognized the alphabet, numbers, colors, and geometric shapes. At 2 years old, a formal test gave her an IQ score of 146, a figure that places her in the top 2% of the world’s population and brings her close to the value experts estimate Albert Einstein had, calculated at 160 points (the scientist never took an official test).
Today she is the youngest member of the U.S. chapter of Mensa, the organization that brings together the brightest minds on the planet. She attends a school with personalized instruction, but her mother insists on something worth more than any score: that Kashe continue playing tennis, cooking, and, above all, being a child.
