In the film, Cruise plays Digger Rockwell, an eccentric oil tycoon whose decisions inadvertently unleash an ecological disaster that pushes the world to the brink of nuclear war. Iñárritu says the transformation was so complete that Cruise himself confessed to him: “it took me 40 years to become this character”. 😂
