Little 7-year-old Lauren was playing calmly around her neighborhood in the United States when she spotted a creature that terrified her. A bobcat was roaming around looking for food.
Lauren did not know where her mom was, and the bobcat was headed in the direction of her house, so, frightened, she ran to her best friend’s house. However, with each knock on the door her desperation grew; she did not know whether the bobcat was following her or not.
After a few tense seconds, a familiar voice was heard at the door. Her best friend spoke to her through the security camera. However, the calm would end in an instant:
Hi Lauren, I’m on my way home. I’ll be there soon, okay?
There was no one home. Lauren explained the reason for her desperation, prompting her friend’s mother to intervene.
It’s okay, tell her we’ll get to the house in a minute
Lauren kept asking if she could come in; her friend was just around the corner, but those seconds could be enough for the bobcat to attack.

Luckily, Lauren would come out unharmed, and in the background of the camera her neighbors’ vehicle could be seen arriving.
