John Lewin is 93 years old and has just had his third child.
He is an anti-aging specialist physician in Australia, and his wife, Janine Lu, is 37. They met more than a decade ago: when they got married, he was 82 and she was 26, an age difference that raised all kinds of doubts at the time. Over the years, those doubts faded, replaced by a relationship built on patience, calm, and a closeness that surprised those around them.
Today, when he goes out with the baby, people often mistake him for the baby’s great-grandfather. Lewin does not mind: to him, love and commitment have never had an expiration date. Janine describes him as a disciplined and curious man who approaches each day as another opportunity to teach and be grateful. At 93, he continues to look to the future with the same intention as always: to live life to the fullest.
