Mary Magdalene was 30 years old when she posted a video with a phrase that left half the internet staring at the screen: her breast implant had burst. Again.
According to the Canadian-Mexican model, the implant was a 38J, 5.000cc one. When it ruptured, she was left with a single breast weighing about 11 pounds, which she dubbed “uniboob”, and loose, tattooed skin on the side where the other implant had been. She didn’t explain how it happened and assured her followers that it didn’t hurt.
Days later, she proclaimed herself the “Uniboob Queen”, and many believed she would keep just one implant.
She denied it: she would have both removed. She had started getting surgery at 18 and, after 12 years of procedures, described surgery as her “extreme sport”.
The journey included an infection, a fever, and intravenous antibiotics. And behind it was a warning she herself had given: if the implant hadn’t ruptured, she would have doubled its size in her next surgery.
