In Linlou, a small village in China’s Henan Province, a 101-year-old woman named Zhang Ruifang surprised her neighbors with a strange black protrusion that had been growing on the left side of her forehead since the previous year.

The growth, nearly six centimeters long, had an eerily similar appearance to a goat’s horn. Although its appearance frightened some residents, the elderly woman felt no pain or discomfort and continued going out for walks and doing some household chores with the family of one of her seven children.

According to EFE, that strange growth was made of keratin, the same substance found in hair and nails, and this type of protrusion usually appears in older people. But the most disturbing detail was that on the right side of her forehead another black growth was already beginning to emerge, although it was still much smaller.
