This is Harriet Richardson, a British content creator who turned her romantic history into an art project titled Temporary.

The young woman has 14 names tattooed on her torso, belonging to the mothers of men who have been part of her life, from her first relationships to her most recent ones.
To find some of those names, she says she investigated her ex-partners’ social media accounts and even hired private detectives.

Her explanation is related to what she sees as a contradiction in the way some men treat women: they revere their mothers, but may despise the women they have sex with.
“I was very conscious of not using men’s names”, she explained, emphasizing the importance of the women who raised them.
Richardson also says she will continue getting new names tattooed after future intimate relationships.

For her, it is a feminist decision about her own body. However, her project received criticism for involving women who did not choose to be part of the work.
The creator herself acknowledged that none of those mothers chose to be connected to the others, but that their names will now remain together on her skin.
