Olivia Myers, 7, had been telling her neighbor Amanda Sullivan for a while that one day she was going to “steal” Gunnar, her 11-year-old husky. Until one day she decided to carry out her threat.

Security cameras caught Olivia entering Amanda’s yard, taking Gunnar and replacing him with a stuffed dog. Yes, she literally left a toy husky in his place. 🧸🐕

Amanda received a motion alert on her phone and, when she reviewed the footage, discovered her little neighbor taking her dog. But far from getting angry, she couldn’t stop laughing: she knew perfectly well how much Olivia and Gunnar cared for each other.

The two had become inseparable ever since they met. Gunnar even howls when he knows Olivia is about to get home from school.

So, although technically it was a “kidnapping”, Amanda seems to have accepted the situation: according to her, Olivia and Gunnar have a kind of “shared custody”.

And Gunnar, of course, seems delighted with the arrangement. ❤️🐾
