Albie-Junior Thomas was born with a shorter left leg and a deformed foot. At 15 months, doctors amputated it.
Today he is 9 and has just climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa in Wales, the three highest mountains in the UK, in just 22 hours and 30 minutes. He did it alongside his father Daniel, a running coach, eating ham and cheese sandwiches and sour candies to keep going through nearly 23 miles of walking and more than 3,000 meters of ascent. According to Daniel, the descent of Scafell Pike was the hardest part: the slippery terrain made every step difficult with his blade prosthesis.

This is not the first time Albie-Junior has broken a record: at 4, he had already become the youngest amputee to climb Snowdon. Now his family hopes Guinness World Records will confirm this new record, while he is only thinking about his next goal: becoming a British Paralympic athlete one day.
