Camilo Beausejour, a Chilean model of Haitian origin, filmed his two-year-old daughter greeting strangers at the supermarket. The response from several adults: serious faces, silence, eyes on the floor. 😐 His reaction was direct: “How is a baby going to greet you and you look at her badly? What’s wrong with you? How can you be so bitter?”.

The video went viral instantly, but the debate took another turn when users pointed out that the girl’s cart had bottles that looked like beer. 🍺 Beausejour responded immediately: they were non-alcoholic ginger drinks. So the people who went to criticize the father ended up being the ones who were exposed.

Does ignoring a baby’s greeting say something about us as a society, or does everyone simply have a right to their own space? 👇
