Luis Mario Niedas Hernández, a Cuban DiDi delivery driver in Monterrey, did not have his own motorcycle. So he borrowed his daughter’s: a mini electric one decorated with Hello Kitty, designed for a little girl, not for carrying orders along Madero Avenue.
He put on his helmet, loaded up his delivery backpack, and went out to work like any other day. Someone recorded him, and that image was enough to win over the internet. Not because of how unusual the vehicle was, but because of what it represented: a dad willing to do whatever it takes to bring money home.
Luis Mario said that he also works at a gas station, because one salary is not enough. His goal is to save up for a loan and buy a gasoline motorcycle. In the meantime, hundreds of people have already offered to help him. Sometimes the greatest effort travels in the smallest vehicle. 💜
