A one-year-old girl in Beijing, China, underwent surgery after a dandelion grew inside her ear for four months. It all began when a seed accidentally entered her ear canal while she was playing.

As the weeks went by, the girl began to cry and scratch constantly due to intense itching. Doctors discovered that the plant had grown completely inside the ear and occupied much of the ear canal.

The warm and humid environment of the ear allowed the seed to germinate. Due to the risk of hemorrhage and internal damage, they performed delicate surgery to remove the dandelion without causing injuries. The child managed to recover favorably after the procedure.
