A little over a year ago, Rocío Bustamante Riverón was facing a complex situation in Cuba. Since she was 11 months old, she had suffered from an orbital lymphangioma in her left eye, a benign malformation that caused swelling and hemorrhaging. According to her family, they were unable to find an effective solution for years and were eventually warned that, if it worsened, she could lose the eye.
Her mother, Adela Amparo Riverón Vega, publicly asked for help and, with the support of Cuban doctor Lucio Enríquez Nodarse, managed to travel with Rocío to Spain in November 2025 to receive specialized care.
In May 2026, her mother celebrated a favorable recovery, and now, in September, Lucio shared new images, assuring that Rocío is living a normal life, without complications and with her eye completely healthy. ❤️
