82 kilos (180 pounds) of muscle on four legs. That was Hulk, the pit bull from Dark Dynasty K9, Marlon and Lisa Grennan’s kennel on a ranch in New Hampshire, United States.
An average pit bull weighs between 30 and 60 pounds (14 and 27 kilos). Hulk was nearly four times that size, and at 18 months he was still growing. His origins explain part of the mystery: a cross between an American Pit Bull Terrier and a Bull Terrier that gave him an extraordinary build.
What most surprised those who knew him was not his size, but his temperament. He lived without any problem with the Grennan family’s young son, as calm as any house pet. Over time, he became the father of at least eight puppies, some sold for amounts close to 30,000 dollars.
