Beyhan Mutlu, 50, was drinking with friends in a forest near İnegöl, Turkey, when alcohol played a cruel trick on him: he wandered out of everyone’s sight.
Worried, his friends knocked on his wife’s door. She didn’t know anything either. The phone kept ringing and ringing with no answer. So what usually happens in these cases was set in motion: an operation with volunteers and authorities, flashlights on, rounds through the forest looking for a man who, for all intents and purposes, was missing.
What no one expected was that Mutlu, still several drinks in, would run into the search party and, without realizing the situation, join them walking among the trees. 🍻🔦 He helped search for hours for the person everyone needed to find: himself. When someone finally shouted his name and he responded, the whole operation had to laugh before it could breathe easy.
