Ecuador thrashed Guatemala 3-0 on June 7 in Columbus, Ohio. But the match took a back seat. 🔥

At the end of the game, a Guatemalan fan jumped onto the field to take a photo with Moisés Caicedo. U.S. police intercepted him and forcefully restrained him with several officers.

It was then that the captain of La Tri stood in front of the officers and demanded that they not treat him that way — even ignoring an assistant who was asking him not to get involved. 😤
Many are applauding him: “He’s a star on and off the field”. But others are questioning him: “The police are doing their job, the fan should not have invaded the field”.
Did Caicedo do the right thing by standing up to the authorities, or does the end not justify the means? 👇
