The pufferfish was stranded on the shore, completely inflated, as if it knew something was wrong.
A fisherman from Baja California Sur found it that way on September 6, 2026. He could have picked it up with his hands and returned it to the water in seconds, but he didn’t. He knew that some pufferfish species carry dangerous toxins beneath that spiny skin, so he found a rope and, patiently, began pushing it back toward the sea without touching it directly.
The fish resisted, sank, floated back up, until finally the water received it and it was able to swim again. No one asked this fisherman to stop and help. He simply saw a creature in trouble and found the right way to solve the problem without putting himself at risk or hurting it.
