Referee Nobutsugu Murakami reached the end of the corridor and there he was: a shirtless player, standing face to face, waiting for him. 😂❤️

The message was clear, and the referee, without hesitation, pulled out the yellow card for the last time in his life. Then came the hug, the smile, and what no one expected: players from BOTH teams lifted him into the air as if he were the top scorer in a final. 🙌🏅

Murakami was 53 years old and had a 15-year career in the J1 League. The match between Nagoya Grampus and Urawa Reds ended, but they did not go to the locker room; they stayed to make history.

This is what football can be when culture matters more than ego. 🇯🇵🔥
