The office air conditioning went out, and instead of putting up with the heat, an entire group grabbed their things and headed straight to a coffee shop. 😂
The story, told by a Twitter user about her Gen Z cousin, says that the group — made up only of coworkers from that generation — left Human Resources a very clear message: “We’ll come back when they fix the air conditioning”. No sweating in silence or pretending everything is fine.
According to the story, this same group has golden rules: they all leave together at the exact time, nobody answers work calls on the weekend, and if a boss crosses the line, they go straight to HR. When she was asked whether there were any millennials in that group, the answer was blunt: “No, they’re already used to putting up with everything”. Ouch. 🥲

Gen Z might really be the generation that changes toxic work culture.
My Gen Z cousin told me that at her job they have a group made up exclusively of employees from that generation.
They all leave the office together and at the proper time. Nobody stays late just to impress the boss. Nobody answers work calls during the weekends.
When a boss behaves badly, they report them to Human Resources. And Human Resources scolds the boss, not them. 🤨
One day the office air conditioning stopped working. The whole group went to a nearby coffee shop and notified Human Resources:
“We’ll come back when they fix the air conditioning”. 😂
I asked her:
“Is everyone in that group Gen Z?”
She replied:
“Yes. Millennials don’t have the nerve to do this. They got used to staying quiet and putting up with everything”.
Emotional damage. 😭
