A nearly 2-meter monitor lizard walked into a convenience store in Thailand, as if it were just another customer looking for something tasty to eat.

It did not take long for it to climb onto the shelves. It knocked over packages, dodged screams, and left the store in chaos as employees and customers ran toward the door. According to local authorities, the drought may have pushed the animal to look for food outside its natural habitat.

Wildlife specialists arrived at the scene and managed to capture it without anyone getting hurt. The lizard was returned to its environment, leaving behind a messy store and a story that no one in that town will forget.
