Bana Valley, a Korean brand, found the solution to one of the most absurd forms of waste in everyday cooking: buying a bunch of bananas and ending up throwing half of them away.
Its trick is so simple it’s infuriating not to have thought of it before. Each pack comes with seven bananas harvested and stored at different stages of ripeness. The first is ready to eat the same day you buy it. The second, a little less ripe. And so on until the seventh, which arrives in the pack green but reaches its exact peak just when it’s your turn to eat it.
One banana a day for a week, with none of them overripening and not a single one going to waste. 🍌
