Coconut had only been in her new home for a few days when, during a shopping trip to the supermarket, she slipped out of her harness and ran frightened into a forest.
The family who had adopted her stopped looking for her. According to the foster caregiver’s account, they told the shelter they wanted to give up the little dog even if she turned up. They would rather go home with their groceries, but without her, and they didn’t care.
